The first new business pitch I ever ran was a successful defense of H&R Block. The integrated idea earned the Jay Chiat Planning Award and drove 10% growth for three consecutive years. AdAge called it "the best selling idea in 5 years." The idea worked in any medium. We used the power of digital to create an H&R Block online Tax Pro Finder. We produced countless online banners, delievered millions of direct mail pieces across hundreds of different formats. We did t-shirts, bumper stickers and of course some TV commercials. We even got featured in a political cartoon.
